Manage is where you configure the operational side of your business—Outlets, taxes, products, and more. This guide walks you through the essential steps to get your Company ready for in-person checkout.
Some steps may not apply if you're syncing your online store using the WooCommerce extension.
Each Outlet represents a physical business location. If your Company operates in more than one location, you should create an Outlet for each.
Note for WooCommerce users: If you’re using the WooCommerce extension, your default Outlet will share inventory with your online store.
If your Company charges taxes, configure your tax setup using tax classes.
If all your products are taxed the same way, one tax class may be enough.
If some products are taxed differently—or not at all—create separate tax classes for each case.
Note for WooCommerce users:
If you're syncing from WooCommerce, we sync your tax classes but not the rates inside them. Read more about tax setup for WooCommerce sync here.
To charge tax for in-person sales of synced products, you'll need to manually add tax rates to each class.
Products can either be created manually in Manage or synced from WooCommerce using the extension.
To make product creation smoother and more efficient, we recommend doing the following before you start adding products in Manage:
Create categories so they’re available when assigning them to products.
Create options and option values (like size or color) to support variants.
Adding categories and options first means you can easily structure and organize your products as they are added, without having to jump between pages or having to make changes after publishing.
Once you complete steps 1-3, the following things can be completed in whatever order your choose:
Set up payment processing – Register your account and configure card terminals in the Pay tool.
Download the Final POS app – Get the Final POS app (Run Native) and choose the checkout flow your team will use.
Add your team – Create user profiles and assign roles in Manage.
Review your general settings – Visit the Settings page in Manage to verify your Company’s currency, timezone, and default tax behavior.
