This action collects payment using the built-in Tap to Pay capability of the device (Android or iPhone) through Final Pay. When triggered, it initiates a tap-to-pay session directly on the device itself, allowing the customer to complete the payment by tapping a contactless card or digital wallet.
There is no dialog box for entering a custom amount , the system charges the full amount currently marked as “the amount to be charged.” If you want to charge a partial amount to the card, first use a Partial payment action to reduce the total.
To use this action successfully:
Final Pay account be set up on the device
The device must support Tap to Pay (NFC-enabled Android or iPhone)
You can also configure:
A one-time fee to be applied at checkout
A one-time discount to be applied at checkout
Tip prompts (preset or custom), if tipping is enabled
