In addition to navigating between flows and opening them in Builder, the Build homepage is also where you configure flow settings. Each flow has three groups of settings:
Flow details can only be configured for flows and print blocks you have created yourself. Installed presets or preinstalled flows cannot be edited here.
Within Flow details you can:
Name the flow: Give your flow a unique identifier.
Add a preview image: Upload an image to represent the flow.
Assign tags: Select the intended use case (e.g. Desktop & Tablet POS, Mobile POS, Self-Checkout Kiosk, Kitchen Display System).
Write a short description: Provide an overview of the flow and what makes it unique.
These details help categorize and identify the flow across the system.
Station Home settings control how the flow behaves when used in the Run Native app (Final POS app). These include:
User PIN authentication: Choose when users should be required to enter their 4-digit PIN.
Automatic Station lock: Define when the station should lock and require a PIN to resume.
Timeout: Control how long before the system returns to Station Home.
Locked access: Prevent users from leaving the checkout flow or closing the app without a long press hold.
Cash management: Require cash drawer entries when opening and closing sessions; adds reporting in Manage.
Session tracking:
Open and close sessions manually.
Or schedule sessions to automatically open and close at a set time each day.
Some station-specific settings, such as automatic receipt printing, cash drawer configuration, and connecting peripheral devices, are not managed here. They are configured directly in Station Home.
Tip for Scale users: If you create flows that are shared across multiple companies, you can set default Station Home settings at the flow level. However, each company can override them. Companies with Builder access can edit these settings in Build Home; companies without Builder access can configure them through the Flows tab in Manage.
The Flow data tab manages all dynamic content linked to flow data in your flows and print blocks. Here you can:
Configure payment types if your flow uses the Payment Grid Element (e.g. Final Pay, Tap to Pay, Terminal, Cloud, Bluetooth).
Set text fields such as slogans, labels, or placeholder messages.
Upload image fields for banners, logos, or QR codes.
Define dynamic color fields to dynamically control branding.
Tip for Scale users: Just like with Station Home settings, default Flow data values can be set once at the flow level by organization users, but overridden by companies using the flow. Companies with Builder access configure them in Build Home; companies without Builder access do so through the Flows tab in Manage.
