Final supports a range of hardware devices that enhance the in-person POS experience, including printers, cash drawers, payment terminals, and barcode scanners. This article provides an overview of how hardware is managed in the Final POS app and how each device type connects to a Station.
The following hardware types are supported in Run:
Receipt printers (AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Star mC-Print3, Picasso)
Printer-driven cash drawers
Payment terminals (Final Pay)
Barcode scanners (device-level support varies by OS)
For detailed setup instructions, see:
All hardware settings live inside the Final POS app:
Open the Final POS app
Log in to a Station
Go to Station Home
Tap Settings
From this screen, merchants can access:
Printer Settings (printers + cash drawers)
Payment Terminals (Final Pay)
Accessories depending on the platform (Bluetooth, OS-level pairing, etc.)
Printers and cash drawers are both configured inside Printer settings.
Final can run on multiple device types:
iOS devices (AirPrint support included)
Android devices (Google Cloud Print legacy behaviour included)
Final-supported thermal printers (Picasso, mC-Print3)
Different platforms may discover printers differently, but the configuration process always happens inside Station Home → Settings.
Merchants can use hardware-related settings to:
Select which printer the Station uses
Adjust receipt padding for print alignment
Configure whether a cash drawer opens automatically
Add an OpenCashDrawer button through Builder
Connect payment terminals through the Pay tool
