Smart Grid is most effective when you need a single flow layout that can adapt to many different merchants or locations. Instead of creating separate flows for each business, Smart Grid lets each Outlet tailor their tiles while preserving the layout defined by the designer.
Smart Grid is a strong choice for flows used in scenarios like:
Agencies building flows for unknown merchants
Retailers who rely heavily on quick-access items
Merchants who want to organize tiles into folders or sub-screens
Multi-Outlet businesses with different menus, staff behavior, or top sellers
Mobile or tablet setups where each user prefers a different layout
Because the Builder defines the layout once, the POS experience stays consistent while remaining fully flexible.
Smart Grid supports four assignable tile types:
Tap to add the assigned product to the cart. Smart Grid uses the Product Tile variant for both tile styling and category-product listings.
Tap to run the assigned action. Builder determines which actions can be assigned.
Tap to browse subcategories or a scrollable list of product repeater tiles. Category views reuse the same Product Tile variant for all product entries.
Tap to open another Smart Grid with the exact same tile count as the parent grid. This allows deep navigation structures.
Appears automatically in the top-left tile when the user navigates into a folder or category. It always uses the Back Button variant.
Category Tiles require Product Tiles to be enabled. Category views rely on the Product Tile variant to display product lists.
Each Outlet configures its own tile assignments. All Stations linked to an Outlet share the same tile layout, but other Outlets using the same flow can configure tiles differently.
