Final Pay works with a range of compatible payment terminals for accepting in-person card and contactless payments.
You can choose to use your POS device as the payment terminal (via Tap to Pay) or connect an external reader via Bluetooth or cloud.
If your POS device has built-in NFC and is in a supported country, it can act as the payment terminal itself. In other words, no additional hardware is required to start accepting in-person payments.
Tap to Pay is supported on:
iPhones with built-in NFC
Android devices with built-in NFC
When Tap to Pay is enabled, customers can tap their contactless card or mobile wallet (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay) directly on your device.
You can check Tap to Pay availability by country here: Stripe: Tap to Pay country support
Final Pay also supports external card readers, which may offer broader payment method support (e.g. chip cards) or bypass regional limitations on Tap to Pay.
Bluetooth terminals pair directly with the Station app on your device. Supported readers include:
Stripe Reader M2 (U.S. only)
BBPOS WisePad 3 (All other supported countries)
Note: Bluetooth readers are only compatible with the Run Native app on Android and iOS. Windows devices are not supported.
Cloud terminals are managed from the Pay tool and automatically appear in the Station app after being assigned to a Station. Cloud terminals are compatible with all operating systems: iOS, Android, and Windows.
Supported readers include:
Stripe Reader S700
