If you're having trouble connecting Final to Zapier or running a Zap successfully, here are some common issues and how to resolve them.
Invalid API key (400 error)
Double-check that you copied the correct API key from Final. The key must match the one shown under Settings → Zapier in your Manage dashboard.
Expired or unauthorized token (403 error)
This usually means the API key was regenerated or the extension was reinstalled. Reconnect Final in your Zapier app list using the new key.
Test connection in Zapier fails
If Zapier can't connect when setting up the trigger, verify:
The extension is installed and connected in Final
The correct Company is selected
The API key is still valid
If your Zap is set up but not receiving data:
Confirm the Zap is turned on in Zapier
Check that the correct trigger event is selected (e.g., Product Updated vs. Product Created)
Make sure the event is actually occurring in Final — e.g., you created a new product, not just edited one
Tip for company users: Standard trigger events will not fire retroactively. You must perform the relevant action after the Zap is active in order to receive data.
