You can think of stations as individual POS units within an outlet. For instance, if an outlet has three cashier-led POS setups and one self-checkout kiosk, that outlet has four stations in total that we track separately for reporting purposes.
A Station is defined as a unique combination of a device used to run published flows and the outlet it is connected to. The Station then applies the settings and tax configuration defined by the selected outlet.
Therefore:
If you use the same device in two different outlets, it creates two separate stations in the system.
If you use two different devices in the same outlet, each one becomes a separate station in the system.
A station becomes bound (activated) when you log in to the Run Native App using the same device that was originally used to create that station, and select the same outlet it was associated with. This confirms the device–outlet pairing and binds that station.
